Franktown offers two distinct one-hour
worship experiences each Sunday morning in the church sanctuary. Free
childcare is provided for both services in the church nursery.
Contemporary Service
– 8:30 a.m.
Our contemporary service features
a six-person Praise Band which leads the singing of praise songs and other
contemporary Christian music. The order of service is informal, and the
dress is casual. Lay people participate in the service, and the pastor gives
a children’s sermon and a brief message. A time for refreshments and
fellowship follows the service in our Fellowship Hall.
Traditional service
– 11:15 a.m.
Our 11:15 service offers a
traditional United Methodist liturgical experience. Our organist plays the
prelude and accompanies the hymns. The Chancel Choir sings an anthem and
provides service music each Sunday. A children’s message is provided.
Holy Communion
Holy Communion is offered
frequently at both
Sunday worship services. The Lord’s Table is
open to all who love Christ, whether adults or children. The customary mode
of receiving the sacrament at Franktown is by intinction (dipping the bread
into the chalice).
Special Worship
Services
Special worship services are
offered throughout the year for Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday,
Easter Sunrise, Thanksgiving, Hanging of the Greens and Christmas Eve.
